Neck Pain - Valley Physiotherapy Clinic

Angela Finkill & Associates

The Valley Physiotherapy Clinic was established in 1996 to provide specialised Physiotherapy for both acute and chronic musculo-skeletal conditions. We do not have a waiting list and are able to offer appointments quickly so that the recovery process can begin.

All our Physiotherapists take a keen interest in continued professional development undertaking varied post-graduate training courses. This enables us to offer our patients individually tailored treatment programmes.

WHAT DO WE SPECIALISE IN?

We specialise in the treatment of musculoskeletal problems and sports injuries. Highly skilled and experienced physiotherapists specialise in the treatment of back pain and neck pain (acute & chronic conditions), whiplash injuries, general joint problems including arthritis, and work related problems such as repetitive strain.

Treatments include joint mobilisation and manipulation, massage, electrotherapy and acupuncture.

First Visit

During your first consultation, the physiotherapist will carry out a full assessment which will take up to 45 minutes. During this first visit the physiotherapist  will take a detailed history of your condition together with any relevant medical history. A physical assessment will then be carried out to determine the clinical diagnosis of your problem.

The physiotherapist  will discuss their findings with you and propose a treatment plan. This may include a wide range of hands-on therapy techniques, the use of electrotherapy equipment, exercises, and advice for self-treatment and prevention of further problems. We are qualified to administer acupuncture for musculo-skeletal conditions.

Valley Physiotherapy Clinic understands the importance of how your condition may be affected by your lifestyle and how it may influence treatment and recovery. Emphasis will be on a realistic approach to treatment based on your individual needs.

Every opportunity will be given for you to ask questions. We believe it is important for you to understand your condition. You will be given advice regarding management and prevention in the future.

Appointments

You do not need to be referred for private physiotherapy by your GP, however if you intend to claim the cost of your treatment through an insurance scheme, check with your insurer first as their procedures may differ. The initial assessment and treatment is 45 minutes. Follow-up appointments are 30 minutes.
